Tennessee Lady Vols Basketball will play Vanderbilt in a We Back Pat game when they return home.
Tennessee’s Knoxville The Tennessee Lady Vols basketball team is glad to be back home for a Sunday “We Back Pat” matinee against in-state rival Vanderbilt (17-2, 4-1 SEC), following two difficult road trips due to inclement weather.
As part of the SEC’s week-long We Back Pat campaign, the Lady Vols and Commodores will tip on SEC Network at 2:02 PM CT inside Food City Center.
The most interesting league game of the day appears to be Sunday’s matchup between UT and VU and LSU, who are now tied for second place in the SEC standings at 4-1.
On Thursday night, the Lady Vols won an important game away from home, defeating Mississippi State 75-64 after overcoming a 13-point hole in the second quarter. No. 32 MSU started the contest.
In Nashville on Thursday, Vanderbilt defeated Auburn 53–50 to maintain their lead in the SEC standings. The Commodores’ only defeats came on November 29 against NC State, 70-62, and on January 14 at home against Missouri, 65-63.
