The knocks kept coming for Ryan Day, the head coach of the Buckeyes, days after Michigan’s on-field victory over Ohio State.
There are jobs for trolls and jobs for trolls. The latter is undoubtedly the most recent instance of someone making an attempt to criticize Ohio State head coach Ryan Day. With reference to Jim Harbaugh’s now-famous statement that Day was born on third base but played like he hit a triple, Day has received a formal offer from the Kalamazoo Growlers, a summer collegiate baseball league team, to coach third base. Brian Colopy, the Growlers’ owner, even provided an official quote regarding the job offer.
Whoa. That really is from the very top rope.
Although Colopy is an Ohio University alumnus, one could assume that he is a devoted Michigan supporter or native. He clearly wants to create a stir during his team’s games, and this latest “stunt” will undoubtedly accomplish that goal.
Even before the Michigan football team defeated the Washington Huskies 34–13, supporters descended upon downtown Ann Arbor to engage in the festivities. At the intersection of Church Street and South University Avenue, thousands of people congregated.
Some claimed they were becoming deaf from yelling “Hail to the Victors.” People in the crowd hugged and bumped one other’s chests.
As he dashed into the throng, Rodrigo Contreras declared, “That was an absolute victory that no one can take away.” “No one can beat Michigan.”
