CNN) — According to court documents, Jackson Mahomes, the younger brother of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, entered a plea of not guilty to a simple battery charge on Thursday and was given a six-month unsupervised probationary term.
“Jackson is thankful for the support of his family and friends during the last year.
Jackson pled no contest to a single count of simple battery and he was given six months of unsupervised probation,” Brandan Davies, attorney.

CNN on Friday that Jackson entered a plea of not guilty to one count of simple violence and was sentenced to six months of unsupervised probation.
“The case is now closed, and we will not be making any more statements. Jackson just wanted to move on with his life and get the case over with.”
The Johnson County District Attorney’s Office detained Mahomes and charged him in May 2023 on three counts of severe sexual battery and one crime of battery.
According to court documents, prosecutors ultimately decided not to pursue the three charges of aggravated sexual battery in January.
Patrick Mahomes, Mahomes’ brother, is the team’s starting quarterback.
