CNN) — Opening Day on Thursday marks the official start of the 2024 MLB season, even though fans have already seen a taste of it.
The Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres played a two-game series in South Korea to formally kick off the new schedule, but this week marks the start of the MLB season for the rest of the league.

How to observe
On Thursday, March 28, 26 teams will play in the Opening Day schedule of games. After rain postponements, two more designated Opening Day games will take place on Friday.
