Brian Branch was selected in the second round of the draft by the Detroit Lions, who were rebuilding their secondary over the previous summer.

Branch performed as expected, if not better. He made a significant play in Week 1 and was a nickel corner all season long, totaling 74 tackles, seven tackles for loss, and a team-high 13 pass breakups.

Security After taking the field for the first time in Week 14 of the previous season, Ifeatu Melifonwu finished with five sacks in the postseason. He consistently received some of the best grades.

With a touchdown reception after taking an interception out of Kadarius Toney’s hands, Branch had a spectacular start to his NFL career.

After battling injuries in the middle of the season, he finally produced another interception in Week 13 and went on to end the season with an  coverage grade from Week 15 through the postseason.
